![]() | Dr. Lynn Hu, PhD Child Development, University of Pennsylvania Lynn (she/her) completed her B.A. in Philosophy at Nanjing University in China and received her Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Studies in Human Development from the University of Pennsylvania, where her research examined how children understand motivation, goals, and self-regulation. She also earned an M.A. in Statistics and Data Science from the Wharton School and an M.S.Ed. in Higher Education from the University of Pennsylvania. As a Postdoctoral Fellow working with Dr. Kiley Hamlin, Lynn contributes to research on Big Team Social Science and metascience through the CONNECT (Coordinated Network of Networks for Enhancing Collaborative Teams) partnership, an SSHRC-funded initiative that brings together large-scale collaborative research networks to improve the reliability, inclusivity, and impact of social science. Lynn is also broadly interested in social-cognitive development, with a particular focus on how children reason about motivation and goals in achievement and social contexts.
